If you read my thread about looking for a companion home then you will know what I'm on about.

I emailed the lady who was looking for a companion and light hack and said that my horse wasn't exactly what she was looking for but did she want him anyway. She emailed and texted me to say that she had already got a pony but that she could see what what she could do. This was Friday morning

I had the man booked for Saturday morning to put Oscar down.

She texted me on Friday evening to say that she could have him!! He will have a lovely, mostly retired, life as a buddy for her ex racer, he'll come in at night and have as much hay as he can eat. he will live a life of luxury again and no pony heaven just yet!

I am so pleased and so grateful to everyone who commented and especially the lady who found me the link to the angel whose yard is only 3 miles from my field.

I think I have something in my eye......

It is indeed good news. I found a companion home for a very big, unsound but happy horse (not mine). The amount of horses I have heard of since, which could have filled that place...

The person I did that for isn't even grateful, has never said thank you and couldn't be bothered to catch the horse for her to be taken She thought THAT much of her ex-broodie.
