Clipped her sunday, but ran out of time before I had to leave for my comp, so tonight had the top of her neck up to her ears and some tidying up bits to do. Does'nt flinch or bat an eyelid at the clippers. So did her face whiskers with the little battery ones, fine. Stood on my tack box to finish up to her ears and she was not having any of it! Could'nt get a twitch on - she knew what was coming!

Persevered for an hour and a half and got most of it, but not quite all, so frustrated she will NOT let me finish - she was not scared as kept taking mouthfuls of haylage - she will let you do all of her, just not that last bit.

Tried the little battery ones and had the same reaction.

Then tacked up and rode, and she went really nicely! Expected her to be a right Witch! She's a funny little horse!

My OH clipped our horse (first time for OH). Silly me said don't clip his head - leave a bridle line.......our horse looked like a pirate all winter as he let OH clip everything but around one eye!

Could you finish the rest of her head from the saddle while you ride her????????

Did cross my mind to just jump on her back and get that last tiny bit done.........

Think I would have ended up on the floor troddon on!

Have asked the YM's this morning if they can finish it by sneakily twitching her! Won't hold my breath thou! Hmm, maybe should have asked for half a face done if they manage to get a twitch on her!

How odd you post this - P was really stupid about her ears this year too! I ended up having to twitch her, but last year I clipped her without a headcollar on! I know I didn't hurt her, so was left very perplexed!

MARES!!!!!!!!!!! She was'nt at all nasty, it was quite funny, she buried her head in her haybar, then would cuddle against me, or edge herself over the box I was stood on and push me off!
