Please, please, for the next couple of months keep your dogs under close control or on a short lead in the countryside, on the foreshore and in woodland. The ground nesting birds are being decimated by the weather, badger, fox, buzzard and dogs roaming away from thir owners eating eggs and disturbing the sitting birds.
In Scotland the SNH (Scottish Access Code) reccommend that a 4' lead distance from the handler is appropriate, I've checked. Don't know what the reccommendations are for the rest of the UK????????? anyone else know?
There have been a couple of fairly serious sheep/lamb worrying incidents local to Insch recently so do take care.
