I have started selling some of my horsey bits and bobs on ebay in an attempt to make a bit of money. The problem is the auction ended on one of my items 5 days ago and the winning bidder still hasn’t paid, despite me sending a very polite email asking them if they could pay so I could get the item sent out to them. The item has actually gone for a pifflingly small amount so I’m not too bothered about that, but being new to selling I’m not sure what to do.

I am guessing I need to give them a bit longer to pay, and maybe try contacting them again? It is a bit odd because the buyer has only just registered and hasn’t bought anything before. So do I wait and if no payment is forthcoming leave negative feedback and forget about it – advice needed.

Thanks

its happening to me at the mo as well. i have waited seven days and opened up an unpaid item dispute with buyer. Its one of the options if you click to the right hand side of the product discription on your main page, i think it's titled 'resolve a problem'. ( you can only do this after 7 days). then ebay sends the buyer a reminder email - if they don't respond ebay will refund you your final value fee, so then you just relist the item. you may recieve more for it next time around! it's happened to me before!

There are quite alot of bogus users, just be careful they often say they want proof of you sending it before they will send a payment. if this happens you can open a dispute with ebay. you must do it within 45 days of the item ending though.

if you dont get payment within 7 days or as listed by you on your auction then go to the resolution console and open an unpaid item dispute - doing this will either resolve it OR get you your seller fees back for the item so your not out of pocket.

Ditto this I have an unpaid item and spookily the user has a name very similar to a HHO members I am sure this is just a coincidence as its non-horsey if not they have 7 days to pay or they get an unpaid item strike and I get all my fees back!.
