My laptop has died so would have posted earlier, but Ethel came back from the vets on Wednesday afternoon and was put on a 5 day course of norodine that started thursday, so shes nearly off the antibiotics, not that shes fussed by them, the greedy mare eats anything thats mixed with her dinner! :) The discharge forms said she was going to be on box rest and have her leg bandaged until her wound had healed so I was thinking she'd be on box rest for ages as all cuts she gets take absolutley ages to heal, but the vet looked at her thursday when he changed her bandage for me as he was already at the yard looking at someone elses horse and he told me that the cut is healing really well and she can have the bandage off and go out to play tomorrow :D Which is very good as I've ran out of bedding and cant get anywhere for more and shes stressing her head off, box walking, weaving and constantly calling to her friends in the field. Vet is back to check her on tuesday to see how shes doing so hopefully we can get back on track with some ridden work soon enough :) Now a question, how do I go about turning her out tomorrow, do I just put her out and keep an eye on her or something else, I dont really know what else to do really lol. :)
