well today has been interesting. took baby horse for a jumping lesson (well more poles on ground- its only 4th time we've done it
) and he was fab. did 3 teeny little jumps and lots of poles all over the place- built like a little course so obviously idea is that when they start to go up Vandi should be used to having to think about where he's going etc etc and not just be firing down at one great big fence in middle of school
and then...friend has a lovely big horse that she's looking to sell. she bought it to SJ but its pretty much reached its potential with this- he has lovely floaty paces and is very attractive (bright bay, 4 white socks) so she's asked me to have him for a couple of months and do a bit of stressage with him so i'm very excited as i might actually get to compete this year now
i'm also quite flattered that she thinks i'm capable enough to do this as horse is worth a fair amount...do hope i don't break him
