Hello again, just wanted to do a quick post to introduce my new guy Mr S :) I thought id do a nice post about him even though he was terrible to clip today and now looks atrocious all ready for his first big boy 4 day show with saff next week!.... bad pony.

He is a 5yr old by VDL douglas x nimmerdor, I have had him for about 3 months now and I just love him. Hes a funny onion and has the most capped hock I have ever seen! we have called it "Jock the hock" as it deserves its own name and is his little hock friend ;). He is epic over a fence and Jock gives him extra turbo....

We have been out and about to a few shows and he has been mostly tremendous getting his 4 BN double clears, 2 Discovery and a couple of amateur double clears, he wants to be careful and is a bit spooky but is getting there and I am so excited for the future with him:) He was backed quite late and had just been to a couple of shows at the beginning of this year in his previous home. As you can see he is very short! and I am currently trying to find a saddle that is short enough for him and big enough for me...( fat bum).

Hes had a couple of quiet weeks hacking and schooling at home whilst we were at HOYS with saff etc but has a busy week ahead fingers crossed I ride in a none tool like fashion and those spooky filler monsters don't get the better of us!.
 
Really nice pony!!

Re: a saddle that might work from you - consider Black Country saddles.....certainly their eloquence dressage saddle accommodates my long hip to knee and G's shortish back, as does their Wexford that we have for jumping. They are really nice saddles too.

Wow! 'Like' :) Mine is short in the back and I'm tall, and I love my Exselle Integra monoflap jump saddle. Good luck :) !
 
Is he as short as Dandy was? if so the Prestige Versaille with the extra projection on the knee rolls....space for you and short for him!!! and DMSO for jock the hock....won't eliminate him but will keep him looking a bit more svelte;-)

Haha he's mega short I make him wear 6.3 rugs because I can't bare to go shorter but he is a 6foot really 😂 I have some problems touching jock.. He's not very friendly, but what is this magic cream! I could fire it in the general direction?! :)
