Easy-
6 yr old TB, serious quality, very nicely put together. Raced lightly over hurdles at 4/5 but didnt show much so came to us from there. Very well bred....

As name sugests he is very straightforwards, works very nicely in school, canter's a little weak but he's making rapid progress. Very sweet and honest jumper, doesnt hurdle them, really rounds up and makes a nice shape. Very sweet to hack, good in all traffic.
Could do any job but we'd aim him at eventing and I'm sure he'd easily do intro after a couple of xc sessions as he's bold and brave

Have no idea on price, I know if they've raced it takes it down somewhat so all suggestions welcomed!! He will be advertised this week as we are full to bursting at home

I don't know but I have something at home we are working on sounds quite similar although ours is older, has very good breeding but just out of interest do you think this type of horse would jump? He's currently making a reasonable shape over 2ft 6 2ft 9? Sorry to Hijack your post

A friend of mine bought a nice easy 5yo irish Tb from irish imports dealer last autumn for 3.5K, similar size. Don't think he's raced though. So would think that might be your general figure

Yep I thought we either go for about that or stick him up for more to test the market. So hard with ex-racers as everyone's put off by it but this one is the best ex-racer we've had

I would have thought £3500 to £4000, more if he'd done a bit but as you need to sell smartish - I wouldn't go much lower. Sounds like a nice chap.

They are in the process of selling their mare and want a 'younger' horse to bring on to event.

Thanks, well he's only up the road so may be worth them coming for a sit on.
He'll be lovely, just a shame my sister still isnt riding so cant work on him more!

he's lovely, just my type, if I was horse shopping I would be v interested

I would say 3,500 to 4,000. Not sure about Ben-and-Jerry's comment,- you should always be honest about a horse's history when selling it!!

He is nice I agree.

And I wasn't advocating being dishonest, just might get more interest if when advertising describe him as a TB ready to produce for eventing or such like.

Any serious buyer would then ask if he had been raced to which the answer would be 'yes'

How is that being dishonest
