Hey there,

i used to do a bit of hunting with a cobby thing I had, then a chunkier warmblood type.
I now have a fine TB though, and he 'breaks' so easily! He quite often goes lame, although I have kept him sound now for a long time.

From what I can remember of my hunting days, its pretty rough! and im just terrified of breaking him! Any done much hunting on TBs? someone tell me im being silly and to get on with it?! lol

All pointers hunt. I have never hunted anything other than a TB. A lot of racehorses hunt, infact most horses at our hunt are TB's. Some country suits them better than others but it is a bit of a stupid question! Of course TB's hunt!!! :)

Haha! I know, i'm just so worried about breaking all his lovely legs! He's made of glass you know!

Plenty of tb's hunt in our hunt, lots of different horses on out hunt, does partly depend how he injuries himself, but I think that hunting really helps them think for themselves etc. It's not just pointers who have the road work, most hunters are plenty of walk work for 4/6 weeks than begin trotting if they have had the summer off. Same goes for eventers and alot odd comp horses really!
