Despite the fact I watched her being born, I don't have any picture of Puppy as a proper puppy, as I lost lots of my possessions when I left my evil ex (who bred her).

However, I've just come across this one

She must have been somewhere between 18 months and 2 years old when this was taken

Bless her. I miss her so much. I can't believe how young and black she is in it...

Bless her, it is hard sometimes to remember how dark they are as youngsters. I have a collection of photos of my old girl Chaka framed and hanging in my hall, took me over 6 months to be able to sort the photos to do it though

Lovely pic

yes, it is amazing how the black recedes so quickly. I will have the opposite problem with B, he will get greyer and greyer!

I only got mine at six and eight months, would be nice to see how they were when they were tiny.

awwww - she looks so chilled out

LOL! This was taken when I had my own yard, which she lived at, so I'm betting she is knackered from chasing bunnies

I actually feel I've dealt with her death surprisingly well,

and I think that's because I was absolutely convinced that it was her time. However, some days, it hits me like a brick

and I do have a good cry.

I'll never stop missing her, but I really couldn't have wanted any more from the years we shared together

It's been 6 months, one week, and one day since we lost her

I still have times I expect to see her in her usually spot, on her bed, or think I hear her...

I have quite a lot of nice pics of Puppy, but I do wish I'd more of when she was a proper puppy. She was so sweet. Really stood out in her litter
grin.gif
Bless her.

We did a whole album of photos of Barney after we lost him, it was quite cathartic really. It's nice to look back at when they were young whippersnappers!

She looks like a lovely girl

I love her pillow!

LOL! I do worry I look like a bad mummy who only gave her concrete to sleep on

It's hard to believe given she only poottled for the last couple of years of her life, but she used to be SO active. She would do a good 2 or 3 hours alongside the horses, and when we got back and I stopped for lunch, she would go chase bunnies

I can't wait till I can have another GSD, but at the same time, I don't know another one would ever compare. She was such a star

I do love to look back at pics of my animals who have gotten old/passed away. It is such a comfort. Hence I make a point of taking tons of Pops
smile.gif
She must be the most photographed little dog ever
grin.gif

LOL! Oh Puppy was always ALL ears
grin.gif
(albeit they never stood up
tongue.gif
) and paws - that were as big as my palms
blush.gif
grin.gif
Oh she was so cute as a puppy. I wish I had pics......

I have just come back from training, there was the most ADORABLE 14 week old, ears up already, HUGE paws, prancing around like he owned the place, scared of nothing, marching up to us all with a ball on his mouth and sitting and walking to heel, looking up intently at his owner already.
I could have EATEN him, he was such a sweetie.

Puppy, we all know Popple is a superstar, but please come back to the fold soon!
As I said before, she was clearly a great ambassador for the breed and you are obviously capable of bringing up very good GSD citizens
smile.gif

Another GSD won't be Puppy, I know I will never have another Dexy, but the differences are what make our mutts special in their own way.

I just love GSD puppies

There is something so endearing about them!

I think that's why she ended up being called Puppy as a nickname - she never outgrew that charm

LOL! I hate the fact that my PTSD stems from the same period that Puppy was actually a puppy, and therefore I have limited memories from then....
frown.gif
But I can say she was an angel to train. In fact, I didn't have to train her. She just knew what the words meant, what to do, and just did them
laugh.gif
And everywhere I went, everyone said what a super star she was. I remember walking the SJing course at a local event and the organiser came up to me and asked if I was doing the horse and hound competition - because surely I must be??! And then she turned to the chap with her, and started telling him how amazing my dog was and how she saw us all around the area riding out with Puppy alongside good as gold - I barely recognised her
blush.gif
but she was a HUGE fan of Puppy's; she just won people over like that...
smile.gif
Bless her.

Oh believe me. I want to. But I fear it won't be for some time.

One day though, without a doubt
