after last weeks diognosis from xrays as artritis in front leg - we have just had farrier put new shoes on to raise her heals - bless him - he took such care with her and i could see he took a lot of trouble to get them right. Anyway he made me trot her up first before he started shoeing and as i hadnt trotted her since the vets last week i was aprehensive but she was sound as a pound Phew! i know shes on bute but still very encouraging - after the shoes were on he made me walk up and down with her - she was really pointing her toes and seemed to be lighter on her fronts not stomping them down as before - when i truned her back out in the field she did the most massive buck (just missing my head!) and cantered off - was a lovely sight after so long with her being lame - so im feeling very happy and optimistic this afternoon x x
