So pearl has been with us for over a month now and is 7 months old!
She is a dream just so lovely to be around and I love watching her work out the world around her. She is fully settled with the herd now and the big mares have been keeping her in check and they all seem happy together!

She has had first vaccinations, farrier, been on the weighing scales and is now happy with being groomed and touched in most places. We had a show the other week and when it had calmed down we walked around the school and had a look at the scary jumps, the burger van and said hello to the organisers. Didn't bat an eyelid at anything stayed totally calm and just toddled along behind me. She is leading perfectly and happy with being caught in the field etc.

I am so so happy and today we did grown up tying up outside her stable. She had a little work out over the pressure but as with her attitude with everything else accepted it and tucked into her hay net. Not bothered about the dog running around or me making lots of noise in the stable and dragging the hose about :)
Oh and the best bit the OH adores her despite him not being happy about getting her :)

Pictures! She is getting bigger all the time!

lol i think your OH is like mine, pretends he's not bothered about the horses but quite often catch him having a sneaky scratch and cuddle ;) can't believe it's been a month already, i'm sure there's not been a months worth of pictures :p

Do you know what my business has been crazy the past month but thankfully things calm down for me now as had my second to last wedding of the year yesterday so as grumpy as it sounds a) i am looking forward to winter and getting saffy fit again and having time and b) using my camera for myself when you have a bucket load of editing to do and spend 16hr days squinting through a viewfinder you don't really want to take pictures on your day off :( so expect lots of fluffy muddy monster pictures as taking the vets advice and leaving her as natural as possible this winter!

She's adorable! I got my first foal, a PRE in 2011, Iberians are just AMAZING! He's 3 3/4 now and we went on our first solo hackette yesterday! Getting him was one of the best things I ever did, it has been so rewarding and a real accomplishment for me.

I look forwards to seeing her progress :)

Hello all thought I would do a little update on the baby pearl :)
She has settled in Devon beautifully after travelling like a pro! She is apparently loving the high life living out with the other babies and although I am missing her being here I know she is the right place! Will be heading down on January 10th for a visit, rug delivery and my first lesson on a fully grown lusitano!!

Pearl is apparently now 14.3 and I have been asked to pick up a 5.3ft rug for her!! Any guesses on the end result haha.

I also found this video of her dad :) http://youtu.be/m34dFA6XhgY

Really looking forward to doing some yearling classes with her next year and spending lots of long weekends renting the cottage at the farm down there!
