Duke's just broken his bridle, so I'm on the hunt for a new one. He's been in the Ecorider Show Comfort bridle, and I really like it. The anatomical headpiece makes a notable difference compared to a normal cavasson and I'd happily get another. In the meantime, I've been riding him in a Schockemole grackle and he's much more accepting of the contact - he likes to have the bit very still in his mouth so I think the "flash" element has added some stability that he likes. Again, it's a nice bridle but the sizing is a bit odd and every grackle I've tried on him over the years has twisted or slipped. I feel like there must be a better bridle style for his face so I'd love some suggestions please.
Requirements are:
• Havana
• Ideally under £100
• Anatomical headpiece, ideally monocrown
• "Flash" type setup, but not a grackle or a true cavasson and flash
• Ideally a clip fastening for the noseband/chinstrap or a crank type set up where I could add a bridle clip myself.
I'm thinking along the lines of a Horze Peckham or a Harry's Horse bridle, but not sure what to expect from the leather quality on either.
