Anatomical Bridle

It all depends on your horse's head shape as many of them don't actually fit them behind the ears - for instance, I bought a presteq feysport bridle, but the cut back behind the ears actually dug into his ears (if this makes sense).

I am still firmly in the micklem corner and my horse absolutely loves his and goes beautifully (as have all the horses I have tried one with).

Many of them claim to be anatomical aswell but if you look at them carefully they have just added in a wider headpiece and kept the rest the same or padded the cheek pieces etc.

Would get a bridle fitter out if you are unsure.

I guess it depends on the exact needs, but I really love my PresTeq Fay Sport bridle for my girl. Couldn’t fit a Micklem without needing different sizes in almost every part!

The main reason I wanted an anatomical was for the dropped noseband. My girl has a ridge on her nose from wearing a too tight noseband/headcollar (rescue horse) in her past, so she’s really sensitive to that. She very happily pops this bridle on and goes beautifully in it with a snaffle. Also love the headband, great ear clearance, lovely padding and a pressure relief channel in the middle.

And my final fave feature (swear Im not sponsored lol) is that the noseband and throat lash are clip on, so no fumbling with buckles on icy winter days! Only negative I’d say is that the chin strap isn’t removable - I’d go without if it was, but she doesn’t mind it.
