My mare has been broken in since the begining of April, and she is going really well. Always willing to please, forward moving and an absolute joy to handle. Well when schooling i have been encouraging her to round up, accept a contact and stop doing giraffe impressions! Alongside this we have being trying to learn leg yielding. (Btw she is only schooled 2-3 times a week and never for more than 20mins or asked anything to difficult!) Well I thought I was getting nowhere at all until yesterday when it all seemed to click! Suddenly my horse is accepting a wonderful contact, leg yielding like she has done it all her life and looking like a real pro - I am over the moon with her. I honestly think she was even impressed with herself as she really seemed to be showing off going 'Mum, Mum look what I can do!!!'
