And so begins the season of unspreadable butter ;)

I love winter too, driving to the yard at silly o'clock being the first person on the road (and at that time in the morning, no one can see you bounce your car off hedges in the ice!), crunchy frost and warm ponies tucked up in stables or playing in the snow. Wrap up and you won't be cold =)

I may become a little bah humbug soon though, as this year is the first where i'm at a yard with no water or electricity =/ It's slowly killing me already....any one know a nice Dutch barn for rent in Plymouth?!

But isnt it just annoying when you try and spread a bit bread ( a piece as we call it up hear) or a roll with the not so spreadable butter and it breaks the bread or puts hoes in it and you have to try and do a bit of patch work on it ( especially when it is the last bit of bread)

When desperate - get out the cheese grater and grate your solid butter onto your toast. Don't really like the spreadable butter - has no real flavour - I'm a real butter girl.

The butter you get from New Zealand is made about 15 miles from my home and the Anchor cheese at the factory 1 mile away.
