lunged prince today, after saying how sound he looked a couple of weeks ago and he can barely trot :-( have just got off the phone with my vet and he wants to come and have a look at him after speaking to my farrier 2moro. He has been barefoot now for coming up 3 months and his feet look fantastic, so the vet is going to have a word with the farrier and see what his thoughts are on how he feels about him going back to remedial work. I think the injections in his hock have worn off and im not prepared for him to have anymore just to cover up the symptoms.
(for those of you not aware prince was diagnosed with kissing spines, bone spavins and navicular last august)
I just feel really pants about the whole thing :-( The amount of people that have said, oh well thats his career ended then and i just really wanted to prove them wrong, even if he was just a horse to hack around the block.
