Considering we were looking for another dog (we had a home check due end of Feb with Lab Rescue) I responded to a thread on here for some dogs needing a home.

So here are Will and Teal

Teal

We were originally just looking for one but im a sucker for an oldie and Will is such a lovely boy who is quite happy curled up by the fire. And he seems to have settled himself well.

We introduced them to Dylan who was only too pleased to have some friends. Will just watched them playing and Teal is amazingly gentle with Dylan.

OH took Teal to work today for the afternoon and I met up there after work. Teal loved it and met a few friends and the livestock, we didnt let him off as his recall isnt great, but still think thats more to do with new people, surroundings.

Came home to find Dylan and Will curled up asleep was soooo cute, wish I had a camera.

However Dylan was supposed to be in his "room" where he could be seperated from Will as he hasnt got boundries with other dogs atm. But Dylan managed to jump it but was quite happy curled up with his new grandad.

Gate now given some more height :D

And now I have three dogs all curled up by the fire. Will be buying a camera soon so will have better pics

Happy family :D :D :D :D :D :D

And not to leave leggy Dylan out (14weeks tomo)

How lovely:) Are these the old boys that were looking for a home since their old owner was ill and was sadly not expected to recover?

Yes they are the father and son. It was a 1.5hr drive up there but looking at thesight by my fire right now is soo worth it. Originally was just gonna have Teal but fell in love and we did plan three dogs eventually.

Will is very stiff behind (on Metacam) but we are doing a vet run next week as want Teal microchipped and just want Wills lumps and bumps and hips checked over.

O how fabulous!:)

They look so lovely together - and I am sure Dylan will benefit from having a grandad around to teach him a few things - as well as an older brother:)

So pleased they have found a lovely home together:)

Meant to say have you considered a magnetic collar for Will? they can really help with old age stiffness and arthritis etc - the old sheep dog here had one on and he had bad arthritis in both hind legs but it really helped him keep mobile:)

Ordered one on Ebay yesterday an equimagnets one (same brand as my pony's boots) :D

Teal and Dylan are partners in crime, they helped each other kill the catflap today and empty the veg rack and the bread bin (that was on the work surface). Watched them do the last one from the door. Dylan stood up on the cupboard whining and then Teal basically said no problem I will get it for you!!!!!!!!!

Got some dog proofing to do. Teals only 3yrs old so very lively just needs to have a few boundries put in place once hes settled. Tomorrow hes having an all day walk with some dogs and friends who live nearby so see if he settles after that. Oh and he can open doors :D

Will is still living by the fire. He went to work this morning and sat in the boot watching the world go by, and his tail wouldnt stop wagging when the WI came up and told him how handsome he was :D

Soo pleased with them, just dreading vet run on Wednesday as Im pretty convinced its hip dysplacia (Sp?) the old boy has rather than just arthritus but all the time hes happy then I will be.

Teal sounds like The Moo:cool: in which case the all day walk should just about take the edge off him....;):D:D:D although The Moo doesn't steal but does usually grass up St Sweep when he is up to no good:D

Will sounds like an absolute sweetheart:cool::):) I hope the vet finds nothing more sinister then deterioration due to old age, which while not nice for him is at least manageble:) In the meantime give him extra hugs from me as it sounds like he has a lot to cope with in Dumb and Dumber.....;):rolleyes: I mean fancy getting busted nicking food.....:eek::D:D:D

He sounds fabulous - hopefully Dumb and Dumber will leave him snoozing while they get up to mischief together:D:D:D Will sounds like he deserves much napping by the fire:D

In fact looking at the picutres again Teal looks very like The Moo:cool: he was from working/field Trials stock so is more of a leggy always on the move sort of lab.:)
