I am well aware that there are differing opinions about the Thursday clapping, and I genuinely and honestly do not wish to put down anyone who wants to do it. It is fantastic that people want to show their appreciation for some of those who are looking after us in these difficult times.

Tonight I happened to be around when 8pm came around. Personally I choose not to participate, I would much rather pay more in tax /NI and give the people we are celebrating a pay rise! But that is very much my personal choice.

I did however glance up as my neighbours were playing ‘simply the best’ by Tina Turner at full volume, to see Ace greyhound looking over the fence with this expression.....

It made me laugh, he clearly didn’t know what to make of it ?

Good looking boy, isn’t he?

Im bored of the clapping, interesting vote on mumsnet today with an overwhelming majority of nhs workers saying it’s embarrassing, wish it would stop etc. I’d be peed off if my lot worried about fireworks, they’re set off every bloody Thursday.
