I decide to nearly knock myself out hitting my head......
on a new market gate!
Of all the poxy things to manage to smack my head on. Clearly should have been wear a hat
How I managed to, defeats me. One minute, I'd popped it in the bottom wire and was strapping the top part up....then....smack! Turns out the wire's been tightened and it pinged out the bottom, then the top part of the wooden pole ricocheted off onto my head.
**** it hurt! My friend actually winced at the sound [though she did say it sounded hollow! Not sure if she meant my head or the wood!

Remained seeing stars for a few moments and thought I'd loosened every tooth in my jaw where it had clanged my teeth together, and have a lovely tender bruise on the left side of my head under my hair!
What can I say.....takes a special kind of person to almost get knocked out on a flipping newmarket lol! *takes a bow*
Lesson of the day. Don't help farmers open gates!
