Angela says goodbye to Doris

Poor Angela has taken Doris off to her new home in Devon today! She will cry all the way back, I hope she doesn't have an accident.
Doris was very special as she had a very bad accident at 2 months and had to be weaned and have major surgery and intensive nursing. Due to this she is more like a puppy than a foal and to be honest we didn't think she'd make it.
However as you can see from the photos she has made a full recovery and has passed a vetting and is off to a new home in Devon.
Mind you I wouldn't be surprised to find her still on the lorry when Angela returns as I never thought she'd part with her!! The good thing is Doris mother is due to foal next month so Angela will have a new baby to mother

I can understand why shes sad! Shes beautiful. But you just cant keep them all!! Thats why I dont go into breeding!!! I would have to keep them all

I am used to them going and have learned not to get too attached. Angela is very soft and cries when any of them go. Better that way than hard hearted though!

I think had I been Angela Doris may have ended up a fixture... what a lovely pic of thm together, with any luck I may see Doris out nd about at a show somewhere near me.

All Angela knew was it was something beginning with a B near Exeter - scary really she probably won't get there till midnight
