Animal Friends

Just wondering if anyone has experiences using this insurance company? Good or bad please let me know. Thanks

Two of my horses are insured with them and so far no problems. I've not had a claim in with them though but I've only heard good things about them. Reasonably priced too. I had my trailer insured with them too until I sold it and I'll have my new one insured with them when it arrives this month. My friend tried to insure her trailer with them but because she didn't have her horses insured they wouldn't just do the trailer.

I've not got liability with them as I am a gold members of the BHS and my is covered through them.

Not got horse insured with them but I do have dogs covered. Unfortunately I lost one of my dogs a year ago very quickly to cancer, the paid the vet directly and within a fairly reasonable time so my experience with them has been positive

I've claimed from them - very quick to pay out and very helpful when I phoned

I liked their price but was worried they were e&l so went with petplan. If you google e&l animal friends you will see all the details .

I believe they used to be an arm of E&L several years back but are not connected to them anymore. Check their "about us" section if they have one and see who they are underwritten by. They are based outside of the British Isles I believe (can't recall where now though!)

Finally found it - they look to be underwritten by Red Sands Insurance so not linked to E&L as far as I know.

They appear to not be any longer but underwritten by companies in South Africa . Personally I would stick to uk underwriters.
