Ann Martin has died

Ann Martin, who was one of the leading lights of the British equestrian press, passed away last night. A journalist and author, she was much respected by international riders, many of whom she counted as friends. She wrote for the London Evening Standard, was the show jumping correspondent for Horse & Hound for years and wrote for Horse International. In her time, she had made several big coups, the greatest one of which probably was revealing that Milton would not be going to the Olympic Games. The story made the main TV news.

Sadly, due to increasingly poor health she has been out of action for three or four years, but she will be missed.
