ggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

WHY will companies NOT stop sending email 'spam' with offers

Despite numerous emails telling this company to delete me from their mailing list they still persist and yet another annoying email has landed in my in-box

Yes - I know I can junkmail them and have done that as well

I refuse to give this horse selling non-mainstream 'startup' website 'free advertising' by naming them here - suffice it to say they have a .com address and their website name begins with M

Annoying, stupid, aggravating, they have been on the BHS website and trawled the email addresses from there.

lDON'T use them.

Any organisation that doesn't have a 'delist' me option and operates electronically is not one I'd ever support or use. Even the 'rip-off' banks making huge profits allow people to refuse to get emails from them.

open one message from them

scroll to the bottom of it and on almost all junk in very tiny writing there should be a link which automatically gets you foo the mailing list

I think one problem is you e-mailing them to tell them you don't want toi hear from them.I think it automatically re enlists you with spam?

Is it a well known business as what they are doing is well nigh illegal. You should post their name and also ring them up. Speak to someone in marketing or PR and tell them you are posting on various forums bad mouthing their marketing poilcy and will continue to do so unless they remove your name from their mailing list - and explain where they got it from in the first place.
If they get stroppy tell them you'll be in touch with the information commissioner and they are in breach of all sorts of legislation.

good point - never thought of that

however it is irritating to have to pay money on a telephone call to get them to shut up

thought of naming them on here - but then it's giving them free advertising......so decided not to otherwise I'm helping their business.
