Annual vaccination and health check

[Chestnut mare]

Today my mare had her booster vet came and vaccinated her signed card and went again! Did not examine her at all . OH has been there last few years ( as I've been working) he said he didn't health check her then either? I assume they just rely on you informing them if something is wrong? I was wondering if your vets examine your horses at vaccination time? My mare Is healthy as far as I know and apart from an abcess at the end of the year she doesn't see the vet apart from vaccine time!
Dogs and cats get a full health check at vaccination time!

My vet listened to my ponies heart and ran her hands over him when he had his vaccs!

Check for what?
They usually check heart and gums as a standard before jabbing them, but that's all. I have teeth checked at the same time, as well, but that's for my convenience of memory

Mine just give them their jabs and go unless I specify a need for them to be looked at

mine just give jabs and go. This time he's having teeth aswell so will be sedated at the time.
