Yay. ?
Thankfully care of animals is still allowed.
It was fine when we had it in the good weather. I got lots of things done around the yard. I don't know what I'd do if I was stuck in a small flat in a city.

Wales is 17 days apparently ? I have a distinct lack of gardening to do but at least I'll get my dinners made and the kitchen cleaned .

Ah ffs, it turns out my job is classed as an essential service, so I'll still have to show my face a couple of days a week

Chilcare practioner here - apparently we ARE essential workers - shame that wasn't recognised in the budget - I earn €8 an hour after tax and have 25+ years experience in addition to my professional qualifications - work long hours with no sick pay ?

No PPE around the children and obviously in extremely close contact to the little munchkins.

I love my job but am tired of being undervalued - by employer - government and sometimes parents too ?

Apologies - rant over ?

We do not value care as we should. I'll still be working but I'm kinda bored of 'staycation' in my own house anyway as has been this year's theme. I can't possibly make any more chutney fruit gin or crumbles. I very much doubt we'll suddenly not be in lockdown in 2 weeks especially as we've been under local rules from the beginning of the month that prevent me from seeing family and friends.

Yeah it sinks if the government listened to the advice 2 weeks from nphe . We would only be in lockdown for 4 weeks but because they ignored the advice and cases are now very high we are stuck in lockdown for 6 weeks.

yeah when you think of how cases had practically vanished a few weeks ago, you'd wonder how they messed it up that much.

HSI haven't come out with the new rulings for comps yet have they? we were still doing SJI shows, and that was allowed under level 3 and 4. but now it says 'level 5 but some elite sports'. so what do people think that might be?

I don't know. When they said elite sport I figured it meant professional, but that's just a guess. I know riding schools are allowed to have private lessons, but that's a long way from comps.

from the looks of it it looks like SJI is back on.
That's a big surprise. It's level 5 after all.
It's very unfair to let competitions go on and shut down group lessons in riding schools. There are people with small businesses whose livelihoods are being destroyed again. How is people getting to compete more important than that

that's the confusing thing about this lockdown. they have said only kids riding lessons are allowed go forward, not adults.

I thought lockdowns were now classed as unacceptable by WHO? Or did I kiss an update somewhere?

I worked all the way through the last lockdown as a key worker, my life didn’t change other than not seeing my friends face to face
