Hi guys just after a some bitting advise. I ride my horse in a neue shule universal bit with d rings and no curb (my girl hates curb chains of any form!) for XC-I event her at Nov/Int level. However Im finding it a bit too sharp for her. Shes not strong, but just will sometimes learn on my hands and get on her shoulders- a snaffle is not quite enough to pick her up quickly-ie infront of a combo fence or a skinny. She goes in a plain noseband and does not open her mouth or cross her jaw either. She has a small mouth 4.5ins and a fat warmblood tongue! Any ideas- theres so many bits on the market I dont know what to try first!!! x

Thanks Dianchi, I have tried the leather curb and that was a bit too much for her! I've tried a normal three ring gag- and again this has been too strong. Someone suggested a copper roller- but not sure how that works?!

copper rollers move in the horses mouth so that they cant bear down on them as they just keepin rolling. what size is she as im got two full cheek copper rollers that i never use!

Why don't you give Neue Schule a call & have a chat with Heather? She normally comes up with a few different solutions so one of them is bound to work
