Another Coloured Colt - Quick Catch Up!

Hia - Have not been here for a few days but thought you might like to know that Rodney now has a new friend, a coloured Polish WB colt called Leonidas (Leo for short).

Had a bit of a problem with mum Lola (Pally WB) who unfortunately retained the afterbirth and had to have the vet out to remove it, and have her lady bits flushed and a course of antibiotics which she didn't particularly enjoy but fingers crossed she looks to be ok now.

Next up is Kossette who came in from the field today with a bursting udder, mild caked all down her back legs and dripping milk....so should be tonight maybe tomorrow...

She's on the foal cam which has a new host so should be able to cope with people all rushing to watch the brith - the l;ast one lay down and died when lola foaled as far too many people were trtying to watch! The link is on our website (in my sig)

Please keep fingers crossed for a trouble free foaling for Kossette
 
Thanks for the update, I'm currently watching her and a miniature horse who is in early stages of labor
I did notice the vet in with Lola in the morning, i hope she makes a full recovery
Leo is stunning, you must be very pleased
all the best with Kossette, I've fingers crossed for a smooth foaling

Gorgeous horses in your signature Seaofdreams! Coloured is very pretty and the grey is very eyecatching too.

Ah so you would have seen me being dragged around by the she-devil horse who did not appreciate vet messing around at her rear, and who panicked every time her baby moved more than an inch away from her - which he did frequently because he's a feisty little so and so!

), but with the old cam it wasn't as clear (the new one is much better

) but i did notice he wasn't afraid of investigating things and wandering!!
I was annoyed as i fell asleep an hour before she had him

Did you down load the softwaer, there's a link to it on the foal cam page , I installed that and then I had to clik ona yellow bbar at the top of my explorer when it loaded the foal cam page to allow active x to run. Then it all worked perfectly.
 
Glad it's working ok now - I know some people on Macs have had problems but to be honest the majority have said it's so much better and it's better to have a very small minority who can't see it than to have no one able to see it because it freezes when they foal!!

REALLY thought she was going to have it last night but nope still hanging on in there!
 
what a fabulous set-up you have there.

you must be very proud of what you have achieved...and also what you plan to achieve!

Thanks RHT - Must admit at the moment it seems like we've been living on a building site for ever! And this year we start building the 'posh' yard and hopefully the arena so even more disruption! In 3 or 4 years time though when it's all finished it'll be worth it and we can look back and see how much we've done!
 
The new cam's a lot better..

Ive got a Holme Trakehner as well, so i can't wait to see what Kosette produces!! Hopefully won't be too long now for you!!
