Another Ebay scam?

If it IS a real company selling imports, they seem to be going out of their way to make their ad look like a dodgy scam, don't they.
 
As they say - if it looks to good to be true .........

I suspect some poor person will hand over £1k then wait a month only to find nothing arrives and seller disappears - interesting to see whether the ebay protection would kick in and return the £1k to the buyer !!
 
Just called ebay and reported it.
Certainly dodgy and even if it were genuine what importer would put two different models in the listing photos?
 
It doesn't look too good to be true though, it looks too dodgy-as-hell to be true.

Would be too late to raise a dispute after a month wouldn't it? Pretty sure I was reading something about a M2M saddle bought through ebay that the buyer was having problems getting a refund on as out of time...crazy as of course M2M items have a long lead time on them, there should be some provision for that if there isn't. I've not used ebay for a couple of years now though so not 100% certain what the rules are now without going finding them and I cba.

What they said! It sounds really mean but I sometimes its hard to be sympathetic when people lose their money in scams like this. There is enough information out there to keep yourself as safe as possible. Not forgetting the 'if its too good to be true.....'

For goodness sake they don't even know what they are actually bidding on given the different pictures & specs. Handing over large amounts of money for something, which even if it does arrive, you can pretty much guarantee will not be road worthy/safe (there's a reason things cost what they cost)

Highly convenient that it takes a month to arrive....when you only have 28 days to action Paypal disputes.

I think I'll report it as well!
 
It was a listing for a horse trailer. Supposedly made and imported to order or something. Big list of specs and the photos were of 3 different makes of trailer lifted off their websites.
