I have had another b****y awful night with the damned things going off from 6 o'clock until 10.30. My poor dog has not eaten her dinner and has shivered and shaken all night.
Why oh why can't we just have one night (5th November) for people to have their fun then leave the rest of us in peace

, they even bloody scared me.
They should be banned for public sale, displays only, in fields in the middle of no where for 1 night only

My cats been underneath the sofa all night, and the JRT we've been looking after it going skits around the living room, poor thing.

I think all fireworks that bang should be for events only and silent ones only for people wanting to do their own

I think it says a lot for our so-called nation of animal lovers. maybe they should put pictures of cats/dogs/horses/wild animals etc that get killed by running away and getting hit by a car, or just by sheer shock from the deafning bangs, and then display on the packets of the bloody things, in the same way they put warnings on fag packets. Maybe that might make people sit up and take notice, that the unneccessary suffering they cause far outweighs 10 minutes of pleasure watching pretty things in the sky that everyone has seen 1000 times before!!!

This year didn't seem as bad round here as some previous years so maybe the message is getting through. Still spent yesterday evening trying to watch X Factor through my collie, who was sitting on my chest, which apparantly is the best protection against the scary fireworks

Im lucky my dogs do not mind them! I have 4 so i think it would be a complete night mare if they did bother! One barks sometimes at the really big ones but thats it. I think they should have just 5th Nov too!!! And only places which have a licence should be allowed them!!
