Kerilli and all I could not agree more.

I saw several loose dogs helling round the XC after horses yesterday and it made me furious.

If you cant hold onto your dog - you shouldnt bl**dy well take it to Burghley.

We have a newfoundland and a retriever and we never take them - you never can be sure how hot its going to be and its just a hassle to take them around in the crowds.

I also got into a rather heated debate with a man yesterday whose dog had a pooh in the main arena (where loads of familys were having their picnic) and he told his wife/ daughter to leave it there! I said you absolutely cannot leave it there you must pick it up - to which I got a mouthful of obscene abuse which only ceased when a load of other burghley goers agreed with me and he then sent his daughter to pick it up - VILE MAN.

It really isnt a place for dogs IMO.

Mike Tucker just joked about the loose dog on the commentary on BBC2  I think Ian Stark was a bit more pissed off than him.
