Another girth question.....(elastic)

So, carrying on from my thick moment yesterday, if you were buying a new girth (I'm looking for a dressage girth), would you prefer a thick strong piece of elastic in the middle, or thick elastic on both ends of the girth? And why choose one over the other?

Central elastic. The sternum is very sensitive so it needs to be the place where there is "give".

The only girth I would avoid is one with elastic at one end only.
