I've posted the other week about how me and my boyfriend split up two weeks ago (completely out of the blue decision by him - and now he's turned rather nasty, plus we have the issue of a house in -ve equity - but i wont bore you with that!). and my little loan mare Connie has been fantastic for taking my mind off things (she's so lovely).
Well, it was a chairty show on my yard today (we have one every year). We entered the dressage, and three showing classes (although only made it into 2 as the in hand and ridden clashed
)
We managed to win the dressage (was so chuffed as she's only ever done one competitive dressage test in her life two weeks ago and she's 17!) and then 5th in the ridden coloured class, and then won the ridden veteran class which took us into the championship, we didnt get champion or reserve, but considering i have never even tried to do any showing before i was sooooo pleased with my girl! She's the biggest show off horse i've ever known (she was shown to quite a high level in the past - but has recently had 3 years dumped in a field until i took her on about 2 1/2 months ago). I was pretty much just a passenger, Connie did everything!
Unfortunatley the photographers were a bit rubbish and didnt take any photos in the showing classes (some excuse about it being too expensive to print off all the sheets with the sample photos on) any who here are the photos from the dressage and one from just afterwards.
Sorry this ended up being so long, but its been my happiest day for a few weeks, and its all down to my lovely girl Connie! Also - i'm so proud of how clean i got her!!
