Hi I have a 12.2 hh pony
Well he's supposed to be 12.2 but I measured him today and he came up as 12hh! Barely
He's of unknown breeding lol but he's a cobby sort,a welsh x perhaps and he's 5 in june.
Do you think from your experience that he will grow much more?
I would love him to get a little taller tbh and I know he needs to chunk out a bit
I'm just a bit paranoid lol as I don't want my daughter to outgrow him too quickly :p
She's 9
We love him to bits and I hope to never sell him as I will part/full loan him eventually so it doesn't really matter that much :).
Just something that is playing on my mind a little as I don't want to buy another for at least a couple of years :D
Also my gut feeling is that he will grow a bit,he looks a tad bum high
Thoughts?

I wouldn't bank on it. Although especially if he's bum high its not impossible he'll make the original 12.2 he's meant to be. But, even if he's finished growing, he will fill out muscle wise when in full work. As for when your daughter will be too big, hard to tell. Depends on her build in relation to the ponies, as well as height. My daughter is all legs, which her pony takes up suprisingly well, however a child the same height but with a very long body would already be looking top heavy on her. Really, as her mum only you can guess on how your daughter will grow.

Thanks I'm happy that they are well suited atm and especially if he fills out a bit they should be fine for a while yet. He is quite chunky now and atm size wise for her ability he is perfect. When I was buying I didn't want to go to tall anyway as I wanted her to groom tack up etc herself :)
