So have got the boots but stupidly didn't think about pads. Do you need tham straight away? Or should he be fine? How will I know if he needs them?

Tea and cookies for replies :D

I don't think you do, I have the easyboot glove and don't have pads. Pony is fine without the pads.

Although twice he has pulled the same boot off, both times in a field being a bit of a tit. I jumped off and put back on, but thought they would be harder to pull of than they were? I've put that down to me not putting them on tight enough :confused:

The info I got regarding the easy boot trails said they should always be used with pads. The pads mould into the shape of the hoof and so support all the structures of the hoof.

They didn't come with pads so I assume that it wasnt normally needed? He had just gotten over a huge abcess and needs both front shoes off for his hoof to recover as he has three exit holes and farrier doesn't want to mess up the rest off his hoof.
Also he has a 15 degree rotation in both front feet would that mean I should pad?
