I’ll start by saying this is not an advert at all, more curiosity than anything, and he’s currently out on loan so if he were to be offered for sale to his loaner in the future I’d want to make sure it’s at his current value and not an increased value after she’s worked with him.

16.2-3hh 9 year old ex racer thoroughbred gelding, last raced just over a year ago then brought to England to go back into training but wasn’t loving it anymore so left start of the year, retired sound.

Can be handled by children etc, he has the nicest temperament I’ve ever seen. Is an angel on the ground and impeccable manners for everything. Lives out happily, stables happily, no vices etc.

Stands nicely at the mounting block. Hacks out alone or in company, has been ridden by a nervous disabled rider and honestly, is a saint! Good in traffic and not usually phased by much. Can be left for weeks/months and then tacked up and ridden and he’s exactly the same. He can step up a gear when asked for more, although not been reschooled much at all yet.

Almost fully transitioned to barefoot (boots for riding, although ridden in arena and soft ground without). Can turn out with mares or geldings.

The worst thing I can think to say about him is that he’s not very intelligent, but we try not to hold that against him! And he’s not a “pretty” colour or flashy looking, but he does have a very kind face and sweet eyes.

I don’t know, but my thought is £5-6k on account of current market and being a nice safe- sounding person, though unschooled. Has retired sound though some would be put off by being raced until 9 depending on what they wanted to do. I’d see it as a bonus though. Sounds like a cracker.

ETA- I’d add not being very bright as a bonus from my experience of TBs! Too intelligent and they’re too creative for my liking! ?
