Hi,

I've managed to sell my nappy horse to someone who can do far better by him than I can so now I'm getting ready to look again. I heard about this horse by word of mouth. I saw her today and she is very nice and I'm going to ride her tomorrow. Just wondered what your opinions on her from the ad are? Also, what you think about the price and age?

Thanks in advance everyone

As she comes with a full wardrobe, and sounds like she ticks all your boxes, I think that sounds fair. She sounds like a nice type to go out and have some fun on.

I think she looks nice. And quite reasonably priced. Just double check there are no hidden vices or vet issues?

Meh, shes nice, sounds promising, shame shes not a little younger but shes a nice hieght and looks impressive, id probably want to pay more around the 4k mark though, only because of her age.

But with a full wardrobe that would be more like 3K for the horse, wouldn't it? Because I had the same thought, then factored in saddle, bridle, rugs etc....

Sounds nice - but doesn't mention anything about whether she is good in traffic or hacks out alone - so check this out if it is important to you.

what? a couple of hundred for a second hand saddle and 200 quids worth of rugs?

Jesus you buy cheap tack! Neither of my saddles, second hand cost under £400! So £4.5-5K with full wardrobe sounds fine??!

I agree with Spotted Cat. I think she looks nice and with a decent wardrobe it looks like a fair price - genuine horses are hard to come across. Just check everything out, especially the hacking.

Yeah I'd have thought a nice 2nd hand bridle and saddle are probably at least £500, then you've probably got at least 3 turnout rugs and a couple of stable rugs and maybe even boots.

Thanks for all your replies everyone. Apparently she hacks alone happily and is good with traffic but I'll be riding her to check this out this week!

I was a little concerned about maybe being overpriced but the safety factor and having a horse to just go out and ride without worrying is really important so may well be worth full price though may make a lower offer to start with. looked at the tack and rugs today and it's all really good stuff.

Will post again to let you know how it went when I ride her.

Thanks guys
