So, after reading someones elses thread about taking their large ginger horse out alone, and having lots of good experiences with drivers backing up, pulling over etc, I was inspired.
My idiot welsh is not fantastic on his own, but we are working on it. In the last few weeks we have been out several times in company round the same hack, and yesterday I went it alone. It is 95% off road. The first road section, over two bridges, i got off and lead him as he hadn;t settled (he will go anywhere in hand)
On the way home, same road section, he was being very very good so I stayed onand rode. Small white van comes hurtling over one bridge towards me,I am on the other bridge. I do the 'please slow down' signal. He speeds up and bips at me!!
Idiot!!
Thanksfully, I also encountered several other cars that were all lovely and considerate, and also the welsh was totally unconcerned by the van.
Good boy.
