Recommendations for insurance please :D I'd be tempted to go with PetPlan but they've hiked my dog insurance so much over the years I'd like to avoid them on principle

Kris have been fab for me, claimed a couple of times and they have paid the vet direct no problems. Ladies in the office are helpful and knowledgeable too

Kenzo - what's wrong with SEIB? I almost filled out their quotation form before posting this thread :)

Misog - thanks for the recommendation :)

I have found seib great have unfortunatly had to claim sever times too and recommended by my vet too as good payers, so I am not the only one !

I have also moved to petplan. They have been easy to deal with so far. Premiums are ok just now but will need to see what happens at renewal. To be honest I think they all offer low premiums initially and then hike them up so you need to keep moving every few years to get a better deal. Main thing is how good they are on paying out.

I moved from NFU to KBIS when NFU hiked my quote despite not having claimed. Poor George was diagnosed with COPD in Jan so we are in the middle of a big claim (£2700 and counting ) - KBIS have been brilliant, they've not quibbled about anything and pay the vet direct by return of post :) also when I got my renewal a few weeks ago it had only gone up a £1 a month :)

Stoneways. Absolutely bl00dy brilliant. Paid £3k last year for surgery and haven't even excluded the leg. And they were incredibly helpful and it all went through no fuss.

BH is with KBIS as I don't expect to claim much for him. I've heard they can put pretty big exclusions on once you've claimed, hence my accident prone one staying with Stoneways. Bit more expensive but worth it to not have all four limbs excluded!!

I assumed KBIS would exclude George's entire respiratory system due to his COPD/RAO but they have only exclude lower respiratory problem which I think is fair enough.

Thanks for all the recommendations :)

I'm surprised about the exclusions...do these companies not offer cover for life on conditions?

My mare is insured with KBIS and as other have said they are extremely helpfull and polite and pay quickly. My gelding and trailer are still with NFU and having just received my renewal notice will be staying with NFU. No hike in price and still the better option with trailer included.
