What a lovely day we've had.
Meet was at my mums friends house, she was going to come and pick us up but wasn't feeling very well so we got a call from one of mums others friends saying she would come get us. Our box is good but no one wants to pay to get it through it's MOT.. hence out of action.
Anyway, got there mega early thanks to the lovely lady who came to pick us up - so horses into stables and us into house for some port and sausages roles!!
3 large ports, 2 cigarettes and 10 sausage roles later - out to get ponies. Quite a select few today.. which I have to admit I kind of like.
Set off down some very soggy land... and some not very nice walls! All down hill, which Badger is normally cool with.. but not today! (should mention that he has moved on to some new Haylegde and bucked my mum of on a hack the other day) He jumped nicely over the first horrible wall, which was very deep with some dodgy dip in front of it, but then proceeded to do a rather large buck and then put his head down and bunny hop down the field. Thanks for that, Badge! Next horrible wall looked ok but had a decent drop, happened to see a long stride - F*CKING HELL!! Badger it's a 3' wall not a 6' hedge!! Called a cab and my mother nearly pissed herself... as she does every time I look like I might fall off!
Anyway, after a few more trappy/muddy incidents we moved on to some much nicer, drier land on the other side of the valley. Phew! I'll not go to too much detail but hounds hunted fantastically, we were up with them all the time due to small field and good FM who is normally a whip, not sure if that's why we were closer to hounds or not? Jumped lots of tricky/trappy walls, typical rockwood! But definitely a challenge for everyone! We had really good fun!
At about 3pm they called it a day and the same lovely lady who picked us up took us all home.. Thanks you B! got our lovely boys tucked up in bed and went back for Chilli and Wine back at the meet. YUM!! Just what I needed!
Well that's my day - how about yours?
PS - Joe, you are a crazy man for jumping that horrible gate! Well done though!
PPS - sorry for being boring and will be putting up pics of meet in PG soon.
