Just noticed the one im going to look at is the SWB version, 2.7 litre diesel. Will this make any difference to towing weights compared to the LWB? its a 2000 reg.

I tow a wessex clubman (unladen weight 820kg) and would hope to carry two 16hh horses.

what do people think?

Mine is the SWB 2.7 version and its fine - we were pulled by VOSA (I think) for a spot check the other week when we had the pony in it and they said we had plenty of weight to tow the horse too :)

Just get it checked for

- clutch
- rust up in the front arches
- air intake/flow meter
- torsion bar for cracks
- brake pipes

All weak areas.

But otherwise, I wish I had my one back.

I've had 3 of these, 2 SWB and 1 LWB - all have towed brilliantly and I tow a IW510 with two horses (1 is 17hh) up the down the steep Devon hills. Never had any problems and always felt safe.
