Well I spoke to Oscars nurse yesterday and she said they tried him on a small amount of mash Tuesday evening but during the night he became poorly again.

He had a build up of another 10l of fluid and wasnt able to pass any solids, so the refluxed him to remove the fluid and cleared him out of the blocked solids and put him back on his drip

They didnt get any more fluid from him jesterday which is good, so just kept him on small amounts of grass all yesterday. Hes coming off his fluids later today and then again they will try him with some more mash later this afternoon/evening

Fingers crossed he will be ok this time. Off to see him again this afternoon for lots of cuddles!

Try to stay positive. Easier said than done I know - but he's in the best place. TIt sounds as if they're taking very good care of him.

Hugs lovely ((((((((((((((((((((((( ))))))))))))))))))))

Thanks so much everyone. His nurse said hes looking fine within himself but apparently he showed little signs of pain when he should have been in a huge amount of discomfort, so its hard to know how hes doing really. I spoke to my original vet yesterday and hes said with a horse who had the problems he had he should have been rolling round in his box in agony, but he was just standing still quietly.

Think he just doesnt like to see us upset so hes putting on a brave face
