Healing Vibes Please!
My boy has been in the wars - again!!! He came to me as a walking disaster area and things have not changed in 3 years!
This evening I got them in from the field - as normal. He was the last to come in - as normal (!) because he had to go round investigating and having a final hoon round. *roll eyes*
So he came in in usual happy Panj style and bounced into his stable - so far nothing new. Had dinner as usual (que VERY happy horse noises). Then as I was "doing" round the yard I walked directly past him and noticed a little drip of blood coming from under his forelock towards his eye.
On further investigation I found a 2 inch gash between his ear and forelock. (Que "Eeeew" for the squeemish) Luckily it was a clean gash, but it left nothing to the imagination as to what is underneath!!!
His birthday pressie to me - his birthday today! - 1 emergency vet bill...
Bless him in true Panji style he was as good as gold. Hopefully it wont leave too much of a scar and will be covered by his forelock. (White scars tend to stand out like a sore thumb on black hossies!
But no doubt he will have a cracking headache and a big lump on his head by morning. At late check he was snoozing with his Uncle Con keeping watch, bless him.
