Kia is with me til his dying day no matter what happens!!!

He is a fantastic hack and Scott adores him!! He is learning to ride on him just now and will be For Scott to hack out when I get my baby horse but no matter what he isnt going anywhere!!

Dont understand some people but maybe they dont have themoney to keep him there doing nothing or maybe they dont think its fair to have him sitting in a stable or being a field ornament.

totally understand that they may have to sell him for a sad reason or a really honest reason , just saying its sad and i see so many now days

That is so sad,all those yrs with the same people to have to be sold at that age
frown.gif
,it is heartbreaking!!
I had an ex friend that was going to sell her 20yr old cronky tb and i persuaded her not too, told her straight at his age with his joints it would be kinder to put him to sleep

I really hope these people have a genuine reason for sale,if i had the cash i would have all the oldies
smile.gif

i hope you do

That's so sad, I was browsing through horsemart a few weeks ago and came across one that was 25!! Poor thing, god knows what's going to happen to him!!

isn't it bad to move them after so many years of same home and being so old?
I was going to buy the 22yr old i've looked after for 8 years but i thought he'd get colic from the stress of moving and die on me, since he's lived same place for probably 18+ years.

Dont know how people can sell after that long its like selling your oldest friend

I think it's sad

there may be a genuine reason but on the other hand he's been in that home for 21 years, since he was a year old, it's all he's ever known, it would be unsure how well he'd take to a new home after all that time wouldn't it
frown.gif
I'll be honest, if he was mine, I'd either look to loan him where he is so stays under my eye, or would have him pts in really the only home he's known

they have another for sale, maybe is dire circumstances dictating to sell, and who knows, he could go on until he's 30, as a buyer I'd be more worried about him being in his home for so long and moving him though I'll admit

It is a bit sad for him to be sold on after all those years, but if he is geniune and sound and they find him a nice home it is far better that someone gets the use out him rather than him being sat out in the field for the rest of his days IMO. Saying that, I've had my oldie for 9 years and he's now 22 and he's going nowhere!!

Again, people are judging before they know the whole facts! My friend has a 20 year old and although she'd never rehome him he would affiliate still!

As long as they get the right home i really don't see the problem.
