My boy is lame too
He was shod on Monday, hes previously been shod all round but since he's not getting ridden over the winter we agreed to take the backs off.
Tuesday he was fine, a little tender behind but to be expected given that he's not used to not having back shoes
Got him out of his box yesterday morning to muck out and blow me down he's absolutely dog lame in front! Looks like near fore and particularly bad on a tight circle, but he really wasn't keen on moving at all. Called my farrier straight away who came right away to see him. He checked all the nails and there was nothing amiss, he hoof tested all the way round and got a very slight reaction close to one nail, which he removed just in case. He mentioned some swelling further up the leg by that point so thinks it's further up and nothing to do with his feet.
I've box rested him since but he's still bad and no improvement so vet is booked for tomorrow - please can he have some famous HHO vibes?
If he's properly broken that will be the second horse in less than 18 months - i'm blooming well giving up if that's the case!
