Please can you all spare some HHO healing vibes to Chloe for this lunchtime?

She's been lame since last Monday in her hind leg, and been on box rest since. There's no heat or visible swellings in her legs (although 14" bone, and cut-off feathers makes it hard to tell)

Farrier took off her shoes on Sat, and she was sore when he tested both hind feet, and wouldn't stand on the worst one when he was doing her diagonal front hoof.

She was worse again last night, throwing her leg to one side when she walked, so the vet is going to take a look at her at lunchtime to see if we can figure out what is going on.

We're thinking it could be bruised soles, abscess(es), infection from mud-rash, jarring.... the list goes on

thanks x

Aah poor you and Chloe, I bet its an abscess as there are loads of horses with them at the mo with the crap weather. Buy some nappies and lintex in advance and give it a go! Good luck.

Thanks for the luck!
We did think abscess was most likely, especially with her getting worse, not better.
The farrier had a good dig around, but couldn't find any holes for us to poultice, and it was a bit odd as she was sore on both hooves. Got lots of lintex, salt, and nappies on standby. Hoping now that if it is an abscess it doesn't burst through the coronet band.

She's been very lucky up to now - we've had her for 7 years, and she's only needed the vet once, and that was to get some frontline for her mites
