Hi all,
I know I've already posted a thread about what to wear to shows, but I'm on the mobile site and can't work out how to find it!

Ok, as mentioned before I'm going to be showing my share boy this summer at local shows. We'll be doing walk & trot / Novice dressage, show jumping & a few showing classes (veterans, riding horse etc).

Just wanted to check that the following outfits will be alright for the classes?

Dressage / jumping: White jods, White shirt, navy jacket, long black boots, navy hat cover, black gloves.

Showing : as above, but with beige jods instead of White.

Do I need a show cane for showing? And what colour gloves should I have?

Also, I'm stuck on which colour tie I should wear? Should it match in with the colours the horse is wearing?

There's so many conflicting ideas on what is correct attire - I'm struggling to get my head around it!

Thanks for reading again!

Ditch the white shirt for showing... Try cream / pale yellow / blue. Yes, tie should coordinate with the horse's browband if you're in the kind of class where the horse wears a coloured browband.

Show cane - yes. Gloves - generally tan or brown.

Why not have a look at Mrs Candy / Pretty Ponies / Showing Selections or old issues of H&H to see what people are wearing for different showing classes.

But generally discreet / elegant is the order of the day - you are there to complement, not outshine, the horse!
