After everything dogs do for us, we owe them enough that should we not be able to keep them any longer (depending on circumstances) we make sure that they go to a good, loving home.

Of course we can't be in control of what happens after that, but I think advertising them for free is asking for trouble.

Please, please, please if you ever need to rehome your dog, contact a shelter/friends/family/foster home/vets, please, please do not advertise them for free.

Its like an open invitation for evil cretins such as the people who took this lovely girl on. And I thought that humans were meant to be civilised.

This is a bugbear of mine also, I ring or email people in my local paper when I see the free adverts, most people have no idea what could happen to them and I have been told to mind my own business:rolleyes: or words to that affect:D

I certainly would like to see some sort of advertising campaign warning people of the dangers either by the RSPCA or The Dogs Trust.

She's such a beautiful dog :( and after all that, they say she still wags her tail and gives love and affection to humans and other dogs!

Dobiegirl I don't blame you at all!! If even 2 people out of 10 realise from your phonecall, it's a good achievement! :)

Aww poor girlie :(

Why though, was she 'rushed' to a vets 400 miles! away? Surely it would have been kinder to let a local vet check her over? Or am I being thick.....again :D

Glad she is safe now.
