I have a 2yo out of a Bavarian Warmblood mare by a TB stallion (approved by KWPN studbook, I believe), bred by AI.
Is there anywhere I should register her?

There is a British Bavarian Warmblood Association, apparently, although the link to their website doesn't appear to be working. Have you contacted them?

Details (according to H&H) are:

Contact: Ms Christa Jeffery, Sittyton, Straloch, Newmacher, Aberdeen, AB21 0RP Tel: (01651) 882226; fax (01651) 882313; email: bbwa@bbwa.co.uk

They are apparently a PIO.

Would I be able to register her, do you think, even although her sire was a TB? I suppose the logical thing to do is phone them and ask

Thanks very much for the address...shame they don't have a website

Sorry, but it ceased to function a couple of years ago, when the people who set ity up retired :-(.

Which TB stallion did you use? You could try SHBGB if it is one of theirs, or is a TB graded abroad, and if the mare is graded BBWA they will accept that grading too so that would mean that you would get full papers provided you can provide DNA proof of pedigree.

The AES is another possibility and the same process is involved and a couple of TB stallions are also graded BWBS -- and they will accept forgeign graded stautus in most cases as well -- so that's another alternative too.

Oh, that's disappointing.
I used 'Accondy' and the mare is British Bavarian Warmblood....
For the sake of breeding, I think it's a shame if I can't register her anywhere...she's not too hideous and I wouldn't discount breeding from her...in the distant future.
She may have to stay a 'mongrel' then....thanks anyway.

Yes you can. Accondy was SHBGB graded and if the mare is BBWA graded then they will overstamp that and she can go into their main studbook. That would give the foal full pedigree papers if you could prove its parentage by providing DNA from both the mare and her youngster. Accondy's DNA is already on file with them.

If yiou have any problems I am sure that Doreen Allison who owned him (or perhaps West Kington who may well have supplied the semen to you) will help you through the registration process.
