Hiya I am just mulling over what exactly to wear next weekend when I do some inhand showing. Horse is brown and is a TB. I have beige trousers, will have to wear jodphur boots underneath though as don't have any long ones to fit, or shoes that will match colour. Was going to wear brown or black boots, with a preference for brown. I have my shirt now and also a tie. I did have a tweedy jacket but now having looked at it, I don't think it is suitable as it has a round neck and would have to move buttons slightly too. Damned my boobs, I just hate them. Anyway I was thinking about getting a waistcoat to wear instead as I am struggling with the money I have available ( and due to chest size) in getting a suitable tweed jacket. I have looked at the showing site someone very kindly put up for me the other day and it was brill. But alas it didn't say about what colour waistcoats could be worn. My hat will be black velvet by the way as well. I have read so far that gold/mustard yellow or burgundy are colours to probably go for. Am I correct or are other colours ok as well? It is a local show but I know people do dress prim and proper, so don't want to look like the proverbial mutton. Would I also get away with a gent's waistcoat if need be as I am struggling to find ones in my size, around 18/20, or 22 depending on the chest size. Or would I be frowned upon. I don't have a large budget to go on at all.
Any help/comments would be appreciated
